4 Days 3 Nights Back To USM

As Malaysia winning the Suzuki Cup for the first time last year, our prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced that 31st of December 2010 will be Malaysia's public holiday in conjuction to celebrate with our warriors. However, my company Toshiba already fixed 31st of December as holiday as replacement holiday on 1st January 2011. Therefore, the management side have to decide another day to replace the holiday. After long discussion by the management side, they declared that the replacement holiday will be on 21st January 2011. It means that I will have 20th as Thaipusam, 21st as replacement holiday, and 22nd & 23rd as weekend! Hurray! Four days holiday, what am I going to do? Without thinking too much, I decided to go back to USM, to visit my dear Lily, my fellow friends, and the place where I have spent for four years!
The feeling of going back to USM Engineering Campus is good. I can sleep in the hostel, can eat in Pekaka, can go RM2.50, can cycle everywhere in the campus, can do everything that I did for last four years! The feeling is something like: I am back to student life again!
Basically, the campus doesn't change much since we graduate, and the mechanical school is still remain the same. The only thing that will never change is: the flood will come after the rain.
Our examination hall is still in progress, while another smaller examination hall already completed.
The new bilik persatuan, or currently known as Pusat Pembanguan Siswa, has completed as well.
Behind the Pusat Pembangunan Siswa, there is one new facility: running track! (I wonder is that necessary? I though the whole campus is already the best running track for students?)
Currently, Block 3 Wing C already modified for girls to stay, while Block 1 is renovated for oversea's students. It also being painted becomes Jaya's colour already. Haha!
The new Desasiswa Utama, open only for master and PHD students, are very nice as well. The facilities are new and well equipped, compared to the other two desasiswa.
USM's cat still acting wierd. They can sleep in the flowerpot, or on the chair, depends on where they like.
Since already in USM, I took the chance to visit Dr Mani Maran, my FYP guidance lecturer. As predicted, the first question he asked me was:"Pei Chai! You are coming back to study master right? Come come, come in and have a seat!" Dr Mani used to call me continue my master study, since I finish my FYP under him half a year ago. Perhaps, he is calling whoever he met to continue their master/PHD studies! While in mechanic school, I met Joshua and Shye Nee, my coursemates who continue their PHD/master study in USM. It is nice to meet back old friends at old place, although it is just a few minutes.

I was very lucky that the Buddhist Society was organizing gathering and steamboat at rumah persatuan staff. It was the best chance for me to meet back all the warmest friends in Buddhist Society. While eating our steamboat, interviewing Chun Li and Xia Wen became another job for us. It was a big surprise for us that both of them got together, as there was no news at all about this new couple. Anyway, wish this new couple can stay happy together all the time.
Since already in USM, meeting the family members has becomes a must. This time we were not organizing family dinner, but family supper! Then, Riyas will be the best choice for the supper. I am happy to meet the first year ultra adik, Wei Chong and Boon Kiat.
While spending so much time with old friends and visit USM, the remaining one will be reserve for my dear Lily. We spent our precious time together, although limited by not having any transportation. A few days together in every few months, make us appreciate each other more, and will continue to make each other our "special one".
